It's almost February 14th.

[Rachel is peering at her calendar. She's drawn a heart over February 14th -- Valentine's Day -- but the bubble over her head seems rather somber, for some reason. You would think Rachel -- a girl who loves being loved and sings her heart out -- would look forward to Valentine's Day... but instead, the bubble just looks depressed.

Rachel, however, is well-practiced at her smile, and she looks at the camera almost sunnily.]

What is everyone planning on doing for Valentine's Day?

My fiancees, some of the female students, and girls I've never even seen before all tried to give me chocolate on Valentine's day. They did it at the same time, which apparently got them angry and started one heck of a cat fight.

Then my rivals came because they were pissed that the girls wanted to give me chocolate and not them, which turned the school into a free-for-all war zone battle royale... which escalated when my pops, the Tendos, the principal, and the teachers joined in.

The day ended with me in the hospital due to food poisoning due to the various drugs laced in the chocolates my fiancees force-fed me.

[Ranma looked rather pale and twitchy as he ended his story, since the memory was still a very sore point with him.]

Now you see why I don't like Valentine's day?

...I didn't lead them on! It's my pop's fault! Besides, the drugs laced in the food were love potions, aphrodisiacs, and a lethal thing called Akane's cooking, which pretty much killed my immune system.

He engaged me to multiple girls for food and cash. I dunno why the other girls aside from my fiancees joined in.

I know, but Pops and the other people that he set up engagements with won't let go because of honor and infatuation. It's like being stuck between a rock and a hard place, only with no valid way out.

[Being in here for so long, his feelings for Akane had already dimmed a lot since he had time to realize that it wasn't really love.]
