19 [Accidental Video]
[The video cuts on in the middle of Rachel brushing out her hair, watching herself in her mirror. There's a large macaw in the corner, which is the only sign of the event being in her room.
She doesn't seem focused on the PCD -- or the parrot -- but instead on her image in the mirror. Rachel sighs -- the humidity is causing her hair to be curlier and poofier than it normally is and the amount of moisture certainly isn't doing anything for her skin. A tug or two through and the brush makes it through her hair, but the girl looks less than satisfied.
Until Rachel cocks her head to the left and curls her fingers around the handle of her brush and begins to sing to herself, softly, at first, but the more she sings, the louder and more passionate it becomes:]
My mama told me when I was young, we're all born superstars. She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on, in the glass of her boudoir --
[A neat spin and Rachel is full out singing into her mirror -- and seems to be doing a dance, along with her song -- and it appears perfectly choreographed.]
There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are, she said, 'cause he made you perfect, babe, -- so hold your head up, girl, and you'll go far -- listen to me when I say -- !
[The brush is long since forgotten on the dresser, by this point, as she continues her dance.]
I'm beautiful in my way, 'cause God makes no mistakes, I'm on the right track, baby, I was born this way -- don't hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and you're set, I'm on the right track, baby, I was born this way --
[The PCD times out soon after -- the network has apparently had enough diva for the time being.]

[Rachel smiles to herself before looking down at the piano keys. Nationals. New York City. Suddenly, Adstringendum feels like a prison.
She lets her head rest lightly on his shoulder again, closing her eyes.]
I'm going to be very shocked. And Mister Schuester may hit you.
[Offline]
I think Mr. Schuester would be the smallest problem.
[If he'll see Finn again, that might be a problem.]
Re: [Offline]
[She's so not bringing up Finn, because she is fairly certain that neither of them ever want to see the other again.]

[She's still, eyes still closed. This time, she's more or less relaxed.]

[Somewhat lazily.]

[That and whenever she drives by it she wants to throw something at the window, but Rachel feels that she shouldn't mention it.]

Main Street it is.

[But she smiles a little at his phrasing.]
It is very dramatic and fitting, though.

-- it is.

It makes her impossibly sad -- how fate wrenched them apart in such a manner, because -- dare Rachel even think it? -- they might still be together -- and sure, it would be difficult, with him in Los Angeles and her still in Ohio, but it would have worked. Finn would have dealt with the consequences, inevitably finding his way back to Quinn Fabray -- no hearts would have been broken.
But Rachel had said it first, to Finn, hadn't she? "The Romeo and Juliet nature of our romance..." It was doomed from the start, much like everything else romantically intertwined into Rachel's life.
But it didn't feel that way now.]
I really didn't think I would ever see you again.
[It's quiet, but Rachel doesn't move away.]
But I'm almost glad you showed up here, of all places. Is that selfish of me? It's terrible here, but -- I don't have the energy to be angry at everything anymore.
[It's just exhausting.]
[Offline]
Not selfish. I can't say I'm sorry for ending up in here. Sure this place doesn't deserve the level of talent of people such as you and me -
[He chuckled before turning serious again]
You shouldn't be angry Rachel. Yeah, it's kind of terrible, and really unsanitary on some levels too, but - I can't be angry at a situation that brought me to this - ['this' being her and him - together, here]
[Offline]
... me either.
[It's a quiet admission, and it terrifies her to admit it, but there isn't any point in lying.]
[Offline]
Besides supreme talents such as ourselves sometimes have to end up in one of those situation to teach people about good music.

[No, seriously, Rachel has Sailor Moon in Oklahoma drill exercises.]

I've already begun casting calls.
