somethingspecial | 24 [Accidental Video]

[Rachel is on stage, pacing in agitation. She looks positively exhausted -- there are circles underneath her eyes and her hair is pulled back instead of hanging loose around her shoulders, like it normally is. The music following her is quiet, at least -- but soon, drums are heard -- a guitar, and Rachel stops in her tracks, in the dead center of the stage, before she closes her eyes.

And finally decides to give into the event and sing.

She does the choreography perfectly -- the voices heard alongside hers are exactly as Rachel remembers them -- the music is perfect -- and the event purposefully leaves out Rachel's voice, in the 'recording', so that she can sing along. When she gets to the end, she's grinning, and she stops on the edge of the stage, a hand outstretched to the audience, before she begins to speak:]

If we sing that every single week before Nationals, it would help our morale enormously -- because the most important thing, fellow Glee club-bers, is that we remember precisely where we came from. That is our true strength --

[She clasps her hands together.]

I really think we have a shot at beating Vocal Adrenaline, but Finn, you need to project mo --

[But as Rachel looks up, to her right, she stops speaking abruptly. Because there isn't anyone there.

Her shoulders slump slightly as she presses a hand to her forehead, sighing to herself shakily as she turns back towards the curtains.

Someone hates this event way more than she thought she would.]

[She's spotted a Jesse St James in the theatre who is going to ask what happened, give her time to do damage control.]

Sure! I'll be over, Do you want me to bring you a cup?

Sure.

Okay, just call me when you're ready.

[And Hanna is off to search for a cup. He'll be over when you call him, no worries. Hot cocoa ready and maybe a pixie-stick or two.]

I will be at the theatre all day.

[Its about forty-five minutes later that Hanna arrives at the theatre, two mugs of hot cocoa in hand, because he'd feel weird just giving her a cup and watching her drink it. He's got a pixie-stick in his pocket too if she decides she wants one, though he's using those sparingly. They were kind of hard to find.]

Um, hello?

[Rachel is sitting in one of the seats in the theatre, staring at the stage absently. When she hears Hanna, Rachel glances over her shoulder to wave slightly.]

Over here!

[Being careful with the cups, he slowly makes his way over and offers it to her when he reaches her.]

Um, I'm Hanna by the way!

[Rachel smiles a little as she takes it.]

I'm Rachel.

Nice to meet you! Uh, are you feeling a little better?

[Sitting down, he's sure she does look a least a little better than she had. Not close to tears, anyways.]

A little -- thank you, for this.

[He shakes his head, sipping at his cocoa. He kind of needed to get out of the house anyways, he could only take so much of Ludo when the lyrics were taunting him every time he was in the room with a certain someone.]

No problem. I mean, we're all stuck here, that sucks enough, you don't need to be upset on top of that.

I haven't had a very good couple of days.

[She sips at the cocoa tentatively -- but it tastes good, so all is well.]

I suppose I let this place get to me too easily.

Well, its not really a situation people are used to, its easy to get upset when you're like, facing something unknown without the people who are usually there to back you up, yanno?

... I have some of my friends here, like Kurt, and Blaine. And -- and Jesse, though I hadn't seen him for a very long time before coming here.

[It's just very hard without Finn and Mercedes.]

Yeah, but still. I mean, I can get upset and the only person I have as a friend is here with me. It just happens.

[Rachel blinks at that and looks over at Hanna before grinning a little and extending her hand, for a shake.]

Well, now you have another one.

[Hanna hadn't really worded that well, he had meant that Galahad was his only friend in his own universe, but the sentiment was touching regardless. He gives her a smile back, taking her hand to shake it.]

heh, thanks. I appreciate it really.

[Seriously, his ego just got a boost. Girls generally don't like him.]

Anytime.

[Rachel has a tendency to make friends with anyone who is kind to her.]

[Hanna tries to make friends with everyone he meets, though most of the time it just doesn't go over well.]

So, um. You sing, right? You sounded pretty good.

I do, I sing professionally.

That's so cool! I love to sing, but I'm not very good at it.

It's my entire life passion.
