[The PCD is now granted to Jesse and Rachel sitting in the theatre that looks like Christmas has arrived early. Tinsel and ornaments and everything Rachel has hoarded for the past... well, since she got here, really, is in piles around them. And Rachel seems to just be finishing a muttered warning of ‘Behave yourself’ to Jesse before she begins to speak.]

Good evening, Adstringendum! We’re looking for volunteers to decorate.

[And Rachel elbows Jesse lightly to continue.]

Preferably those with actual skill, taste and with a normal, sane personality. But this being nearly impossible to find - at least two of the three.

[ And then he mutters to Rachel ‘are you sure about this?’

Rachel’s smile, in response, only becomes tighter, while she works to perform necessary damage control. After shooting Jesse a look that clearly says ‘Yes, I am sure’, she fluffs a stack of papers in her lap. ]

I have already drafted up a list of individuals to designate to specific tastes, which includes decoration, set design, costumes, the ability to chop down a tree, and ornament creation. We would also like to know whether or not individuals who have the ability to sing would like to participate in our holiday extravaganza. Our fellow glee club members, of course, will attend, but I wish for everyone to be involved, not just those of pre-determined talent.

[ Jesse, in response, looks like he might be considering his girlfriend’s sanity, after all. ]

There will be at least one audition though, to make sure we will not sing carols along to Rebecca Black’s voice, or worse, Faith Hill’s ----

What Jesse means to say is that we will be equal opportunity to all individuals who wish to take part in this holy time.

[Keep on smiling, Rachel. Just keep on smiling.]

What - That’s not what I -

[But then he sees Rachel’s expression and well, she can get scary ok? He just gives a small eye roll and then nods. But not without muttering something about ‘they’ll probably be drowned in our awesome vocals anyway’.

And Rachel, for that comment, elbows him lightly, before refocusing her attention on the camera.]

Now! Remember! Everyone deserves a chance to shine! I expect plenty of volunteers and if you do not volunteer, I will certainly come find you. The holiday season is about giving and sharing, not being lazy.

[And she flashes a grin.]

Have at it!

Adstringendum!

[Guess who is in her own body and guess who is busy opening up a worn crate clearly labeled Holiday in her theatre? This girl! And she's tugging a long well-loved coil of tinsel out of the box with a flourish and a smile, draping it across the piano almost lovingly as she smiles brightly toward the camera.]

I know the event is currently in affect and many of you will not be able to see me through your own eyes until at least Saturday, but I wanted to allow you all the opportunity to save the date for December the twenty-fourth, because I -- and my fellow Glee club denizens -- are going to put on a Christmas concert in the theatre.

[And Rachel tugs out a Santa hat with a pleased look.]

I suppose I should clarify -- a holiday concert, as Noah and I certainly intend on exhibiting the very best of the Jewish faith during the week, as this year, according to my calculations, Hanukkah and Christmas fall during the same week! As does my birthday.

[Hint hint. 8|]

So -- to those who wish to attend, I will be planning food, and beverages, and mistletoe, and -- well, provided there is no event, that is, but even if there is, barring that it does not turn us all into mindless drones, I expect all of you to be there.

[And Rachel pulls on the hat, tossing the PCD a look.]

All of you.

[And the feed shuts off, but around five minutes later, another message is sent out!]

[Rachel is in the kitchen, chopping up apples to put them into a pie. She has a look of great concentration on her face as she tips the apples and cinnamon and nutmeg into the pie crust, which is already at her right. When she's done filling the pie, she gently rolls out the upper crust, before Rachel does something she hasn't done since her death -- sing. It's soft, gentle, and entirely absent, but it's there.]

It's been a long time since I came around... been a long time, but I'm back in town -- and this time I'm not leaving without you...

[Her fingers pause, in pinching the crust closed, and one hand immediately flies to her throat, startled -- before she sings a little bit louder. It's hesitant, and a little out of practice, and Rachel doesn't sing to her true strength, but it's still on key.]

You taste like whiskey when you kiss me, oh, I'd give anything again to be your babydoll...this time I'm not leaving without you...

[Her fingers move away from her throat to continue making the pie crust, but she keeps singing to herself, quietly, but with the tiniest smile on her lips. By the time she' s finished with the song, the pie is finished, and she turns neatly to slide the pie into the oven. When she's done with that, Rachel turns again, to grab at her PCD, unaware that it's recording.]

somethingspecial: (♪ It's too soon.)
[Rachel is on stage, pacing in agitation. She looks positively exhausted -- there are circles underneath her eyes and her hair is pulled back instead of hanging loose around her shoulders, like it normally is. The music following her is quiet, at least -- but soon, drums are heard -- a guitar, and Rachel stops in her tracks, in the dead center of the stage, before she closes her eyes.

And finally decides to give into the event and sing.

She does the choreography perfectly -- the voices heard alongside hers are exactly as Rachel remembers them -- the music is perfect -- and the event purposefully leaves out Rachel's voice, in the 'recording', so that she can sing along. When she gets to the end, she's grinning, and she stops on the edge of the stage, a hand outstretched to the audience, before she begins to speak:]

If we sing that every single week before Nationals, it would help our morale enormously -- because the most important thing, fellow Glee club-bers, is that we remember precisely where we came from. That is our true strength --

[She clasps her hands together.]

I really think we have a shot at beating Vocal Adrenaline, but Finn, you need to project mo --

[But as Rachel looks up, to her right, she stops speaking abruptly. Because there isn't anyone there.

Her shoulders slump slightly as she presses a hand to her forehead, sighing to herself shakily as she turns back towards the curtains.

Someone hates this event way more than she thought she would.]

somethingspecial: (♪ Hell to the no.)
[Rachel is seated on her bed, legs crossed, a notepad in front of her, a pen between her teeth. For a moment, she appears to not know the PCD is recording -- but then she looks up, checking something off on the paper on her lap.]

I have a few items to address, so if everyone would kindly listen, I would very much appreciate it.

First, I appear to have lost my memories of this place. Luckily, I am a very avid journal taker, so I have been re-reading my experiences in this world. To those who I was friends with, I would like very much to reconnect with you and catch up. [And here, a watery smile -- a warm tone.] So, please, tell me what I've forgotten. And I apologize for forgetting.

[She looks down at her notepad and ticks something off before continuing.]

Secondly, I would like very much to know what attacked Blaine so we can have that creature put down immediately. If it was not a creature, but a person, then I will have you know that you are a coward and worth none of the kindness these people possess. You will be caught and punished thusly -- if you have the courage to come forward and say something about it.

[Another look down, another check mark.]

Thirdly, I would like to arrange an official schedule for the Glee club rehearsals. To anyone who would like to join late, please contact either Kurt or I to schedule a time for us to listen to you sing.

[A hum -- another check mark -- and, suddenly, Rachel's voice becomes very tense with annoyance.]

And speaking of Kurt -- this is item four -- I would kindly like to speak with you concerning my business immediately. I will be in my room. If you do not come here within five minutes, I will come find you, and I will not be happy about it.

[Rachel looks down at her list, before humming in appreciation, flashing the PCD a smile as she reaches out to shut it off, before she pauses.]

... and, Jesse, I made it back safely.

[With that, she turns the PCD off.]

[The first rule of showbusiness is to always be accomodating. So Rachel turns on her PCD with a sunny smile, but there is a glint in her eye.

She's also wearing a silver-y chain around her neck, but that's entirely besides the point, move along, people.]

I expect everyone who wishes to participate in the Adstringendum Glee Club to be at the old school house tomorrow at two P.M. Auditions will last for three hours. At five P.M., there will be an afterparty in one of the main halls. Food will be provided.

[Filtered to Blaine // Hackable]

Tomorrow is Kurt's birthday. We need to make as much food as possible for the after-party. Can I count on you to arrive promptly?

Well, now that the insanity has passed.

[Rachel is hanging up her green scarf, a testament to her own team loyalty, before she turns to her PCD, hands on her hips. She means absolute business.]

We can get down to actual business! Our talent has rested far too long and I believe auditions have been postponed long enough. So, I move to make an official date -- next Monday, at the old schoolhouse, at 4:00 PM. You will arrive promptly and, on a first come first serve basis, Kurt and I will judge whether or not you are worthy to join our singing ensemble.

Blaine, you will also have to try out, as I have no proof of your talent.

[With one last smile to the camera, Rachel shuts off her PCD.]

ooc: An open log can be thrown up next week for some funtimes, if that's okay with Lydia. ♥

[Rachel is looking into a mirror, adjusting fuzzy pink bunny ears that she found on her head when she woke up this morning. She looks fairly happy and pleased with herself, and after assuring they were on straight, she reaches for a stack of paper on the table to her right to go through them, unaware that the PCD is recording.]

A sizeable number... mmm. I can't believe it's January already. What year would it even be?

[She flips through the pages for a moment before shifting her eyes to her bedside table. On it is a glass mug, with a gold star, bold lettering across it reading 'RACHEL'. The teenager smiles for a moment after seeing it before sitting on her bed to pick it up, papers forgotten, turning the glass over in her hands.

Before she starts to sing softly to herself.]

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind...should auld acquaintance be forgot, and days of auld lang syne...for auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne...we'll take a cup of kindness yet, for days of auld lang syne...

[Rachel is lying on her stomach, on her bed, watching the early morning sun through her window. She doesn't look happy, but she doesn't look unhappy either -- more or less content as she looks towards her wall, where she has hung a makeshift calendar.

The date 'December 18th' is circled, a gold star drawn directly in the center of the date. She pushes herself up onto her elbows to stare at it for a moment before pursing her lips in thought, placing her chin in her palms.

The diva seems lost in thought. The feed times out shortly after.

Shortly after the feed, a text is sent.]

[To Kurt // Fail!Filtered]

I think we should begin our auditions for New Directions 2.0 after Christmas.

[Rachel is carefully lighting another candle on her battered menorah, which is sitting in her windowsill, glaring outside at the never-setting sun. She seems to be humming underneath her breath and she sits on her bed to watch the candle flicker, an odd look on her face.

She hasn't ever celebrated Hanukkah without her family before.

But Rachel glances at the PCD and the odd expression is gone in an instant, replaced by a smile of determination.]

Kurt, I think we should begin auditions for a glee club of our own in Adstringendum. I've received several notifications of interest in the subject and I think that as co-captain, I can't ignore the need for entertainment in this city any more. I was considering sometime next week, after the sun has set... it will give us time to gather materials and a proper list of all those interested.

[She then reaches out and shuts off the feed, but not before she looks at her menorah one last time.]

[Rachel, in her argyle glory, looks like she's ready to conduct a group of people into war. She has a clipboard in front of her, tongue between her teeth, scribbling soemthing that can't quite be seen by the camera. When she's finished, she looks up with a smirk that can only be described as diabolical.]

Adstringendum!

I need volunteers to provide entertainment for the Halloween party this Sunday, location to be provided by Negi. I will need people who can play instruments or sing. Those who have actual training would be preferred, but seeing as we're living in a post-apocalyptic nightmare, it's understandable that we'll have to make do with what we have.

I will need, as soon as possible, to coordinate with those that can play guitar, drums, piano -- though, I'll be able to play piano if needed -- and sing. We have until Sunday to put together whatever performance we can for the party.

Please tell me as soon as possible so we can have auditions.
