[Adstringendum, you have a wonderful view of a staircase within Solve et Coagula. The PCD looks like it's on the floor and no one seems to be in sight -- yet.
Soon, a mattress appears at the top of the staircase, wielded by the tiny diva powerhouse that is Rachel Berry. She looks like she's having some difficulty pulling the mattress upright, but one does not master the art of the pique without having supreme body strength. So, on the very tips of her toes, Rachel manages to place the mattress near the top of the stairs --
But unfortunately for Rachel, the mattress is much taller than she is, and when it tips forward, so does she, and with a massive yelp, Rachel lands on the mattress, on her stomach, as the mattress flies down the stairs like the hounds of hell were after it.
She rockets past the camera and there is a resounding crash as the mattress slams into the front door, along with a groan and a shuffle off-screen as Rachel pushes herself up. Soon, she falls back into frame, rubbing her head with an irritated look, wincing as her fingers find the back of her head.]
Building these things is much easier on stage than it is in real life...

... um... what were you... trying to do?
[Offline]
... build a barricade.
[Somewhat sheepishly.]
But -- I was hoping to just bring the mattress downstairs, for now -- I wanted to see Jesse, first, before I tried blocking the door. I don't like him being in the clinic with all of the infected people.
[Offline]
I'm sure he'll be fine... Unohana-san and the other shinigami have an ability that allows them to stop movement, so I'm sure if anyone at the clinic turns into a zombie, she could stop them. She's not going to let someone get attacked there.
And, ah... there isn't really a need for a barricade. I have a barrier set up.
[Offline]
[She doesn't look entirely convinced, but if Negi says so... Rachel trusts his judgment.
She does blink, though, at the knowledge of the barrier, before Rachel frowns.]
It keeps everything out?
[Offline]
[Which means, yes, he's been pretty much staying awake for the last day or so.
He looks down at the mattress, nudging it with his toes.]
... I suppose we need to bring this back upstairs, don't we?
[Offline]
[Though, at the question, Rachel sighs.]
I suppose so.

[He's inspecting that mattress. He and Rachel are the same height. She clearly couldn't get it safely down the stairs, so having her take it is out of the question. And it's a little big for him, too. At least, at this height.]
Mm... I can take it back up myself, so you don't have to worry about it.
[Offline] 2/2
There. That should do it.

[Offline] 2/2
... yeah, she's just going to stare, because what the fuck.]
[Offline]
Ah... sorry, I'd forgotten that you've never seen me like this before... This is closer to what I'd actually look like if we were able to age here.
[Offline]
... Negi, you're taller than me.
[She actually sounds moderately offended.]
[Offline]
[Offline]
[THIS IS NOT FAIR.]
[Offline]
[Oh dear, animosity radar is going off.]
[Offline]
[Do you know how annoying it is to crane your neck up at every male lead you have, Negi? Do you?]
[Offline]
[Offline]
Aah -- well, come on, let's get it back upstairs.
[Offline]
He takes the other side of it. He'll be the one to back up the stairs with it.]
Alright. Ready when you are.
[Offline]
She lifts the mattress pretty easily, with help, and nods.]
Let's go, then.
[Offline]
[AND UP THE STAIRS WE GO.]
[Offline]
I was in a mattress commercial once, you know.
[Offline]
Oh, really?
