35 [Accidental Voice/Text]

[There is a tinkling of piano -- a few stray notes -- a few casual scales -- before Rachel tries to sing softly to herself. It's obvious that she's crying. Her breath keeps hitching as she tries to hold back sobs, but Rachel, being Rachel, tries anyway.

The opening chords should be pretty familiar to anyone who has any taste in theatre who knows Rachel.]

Oh, my man I love him so -- he'll never know... all my life is just despair, but I don't care...when he takes me in his arms, the world is bright... alright...

[Her breath hitches and Rachel abruptly stops singing, drawing in a shaky breath, before she tries to continue -- but it just ends in another sob and the feed shuts off abruptly.

There is, however, a text sent afterwards.]

Jesse went home.

[Rachel looks like something of a mess. Her eyes are red and puffy and she's obviously been crying for quite some time. But when Hanna comes in, she sucks in a breath to stop crying -- or, at least, to try to stop crying. It only becomes half a success.]

I... he didn't show up to meet me. For -- lunch and he's never late.

[She rubs at her eyes furiously, to try and get the tears to go away.]

And when I tried reaching him through his PCD, it said it was -- offline and that means -- the person isn't here anymore.

[She goes through her bag and finds some tissue which she hands to Rachel. Thank God for Mona and her crazy hospital bag full of stuff]

Maybe he'll come back.

I don't think I'm that lucky.

[She coughs to herself as she hiccups, trying to stop crying.]

I don't -- he told me he would find me again, but I don't know if he will or not.
